The marvellous art of the pavilion and its charm captivated the heart even of sages; yet wise Janaka fetched and placed with his own hands thrones for all the honoured guests. He worshipped the sage Vasiƒ¢ha as if he were his own family deity and supplicating before him received his blessings; while the supreme devotion with which he paid his homage to KauÜika was something too great for words.
