kaha siva jadapi ucita asa nŒhī ¡, nŒtha bacana puni me¢i na jŒhī ¡. sira dhari Œyasu karia tumhŒrŒ, parama dharamu yaha nŒtha hamŒrŒ.1. mŒtu pitŒ gura prabhu kai bŒnī, binahi ò bicŒra karia subha jŒnī. tumha saba bhŒ ¡ ti parama hitakŒrī, agyŒ sira para nŒtha tumhŒrī.2. prabhu toṣeu suni saṅkara bacanŒ, bhakti bibeka dharma juta racanŒ. kaha prabhu hara tumhŒra pana raheµu,aba ura rŒkhehu jo hama kaheµu.3. antaradhŒna bhae asa bhŒṣī, saṅkara soi mµurati ura rŒkhī. tabahiò saptariṣi siva pahi ò Œe, bole prabhu ati bacana suhŒe.4.

Ýiva replied, “Although this is hardly justifiable, the words of a master cannot be set aside at the same time. My lord, your command must be respectfully carried out: this is my paramount duty. The words of one’s parents, teacher and master must be unquestionably obeyed as conducive to bliss. You are my supreme benefactor in everyway; therefore, my lord, I bow to Your commands.” The Lord, was pleased to hear the well-chosen words of Ýa˘kara; which were inspired with devotion, wisdom and piety. The Lord said, “Your vow has been kept; now bear in mind what I have told You.” Saying so He went out of sight. Ýa˘kara cherished the impression of the vision in His heart. That very moment the seven sages called on Ýiva. The Lord spoke to them in most charming accents:— (1—4)
