Chaṁ.: bahu rŒma lachimana dekhi marka¢a bhŒlu mana ati apaḍare, janu citra likhita sameta lachimana jaha¡ so taha¡ citavahiò khare. nija sena cakita biloki ha ¡si sara cŒpa saji kosala dhanī, mŒyŒ harī hari nimiṣa mahu ¡ haraṣī sakala marka¢a anī.

The monkeys and bears were much terrified at heart to see numerous RŒmas and Lakƒma˜as. All of them, including Lakƒma˜a, stood gazing like the figures in a picture wherever they were. The Lord of Kosala smiled to see His army at a nonplus; He fitted an arrow to His bow and in a trice Ýr¶ Hari dispersed the delusion to the delight of the whole monkey host.
