Myriads of great warriors of Meghandas might arose with joy and swooped down; but the monkeys foot did not budge, and they hung their heads and sat down again. The monkeys foot would no more leave the ground than the soul of a saint would give up moral uprightness even though confronted with numberless obstacles. The enemys pride left him when he witnessed this. (34 A-B)
