Then he narrated the episode of Ýr¶ Rmas projected installaion (as the Prince- Regent of Ayodhy) and after that he spoke of the sudden interruption in the festivities connected with the installation due to King DaÜarathas solemn pledge (to Kaikey¶), as well as of the citizens agony at Rmas parting. He then reproduced the dialogue between Ýr¶ Rma and Lakƒma˜a and further described their journey to the forest, the devotion of the boatman and their ferrying across the celestial stream (Ga˘g) and halt at Prayga. He further described the Lords meeting with the sage Vlm¶ki and how the divine Ýr¶ Rma sojourned at Citrakµu¢a. Again, he then told of the ministers (Sumantras) return to the capital, the Kings demise, Bharatas coming back (from his maternal grandfathers) as well as his abundant love (for Ýr¶ Rma). He further related how after performing the Kings obsequies Bharata with all the citizens betook himself to where the All-blissful Lord was, and how when the Lord of the Raghus consoled him in every way he took the Lords sandals and returned to the city of Ayodhy. BhuÜu˜˛i continued and described Bharatas mode of life (at Nandigrma), the (mischievous) conduct of Jayanta (the son of Indra, the lord of the celestials) and the Lords meeting with the sage Atri.
